Your home can be anywhere
Nia’s mother Lena says it from her favorite seat. The walls open into a turquoise lagoon. Warm light crosses her feet. A sea breeze lifts a strand of hair.
A robot brings a cold drink with a small paper umbrella. Her friend joins from another continent and settles beside her. Their shared environment carries the same view, weather, sound and touch.
The friend reaches toward a shell on the sand. It feels cool in her palm.
"Shall we try somewhere nobody has been?"
Lena asks the house for a beach beneath three moons. Pale rings appear above the water. The afternoon light becomes lavender. Her friend moves her chair closer to the shore. The house keeps the drinks cold.
